Midori Linea – New York fashion week event

Hi there,

I was so excited when I got invited to my first New York fashion week event for the Midori Linea jewelry line! This is a big deal to me. I started blogging in May 2017. It really has been taking off and I’m so happy that all my hard work is paying off.

This event was held at the W hotel in downtown Manhattan. My first thought was what to wear and then who to invite. I decided to wear a black lace dress because it was a big event and it was a fun night out. I invited a great friend because she is the one friend who has supported me from the start.

This event was on a Friday night. I worked during the day then we headed into the city. It was on the 5th floor of the W hotel. The room we were in was really cool. Here is a picture of the living room bar area and it had panoramic views of the city.

When we got there I met my first blogger babe Ashley. Her Instagram handle is AshleyJennany. She is super sweet and has great fashion style.

After chatting with Ashley my friend and I got magical galaxy makeovers. The makeup artists added some shimmer and shine to our faces. Magical galaxy was the theme for the event.

Since we were the first 30 people to arrive we got a gift. It is the Montana Cecelia bracelet. The gem is such a pretty color.

Next we met Sakura who is the designer of this jewelry line. She was really nice and explained to us how she got started and then showed us some of her beautiful pieces. All her jewelry is handmade.

I had my eye on this Anya choker. It looked so pretty on and it is lightweight.

I then met another blogger babe Nicole. Her Instagram handle is stayathomestylist. We are both from New Jersey! She also has great style and is so sweet. We chatted for a bit.

The room was dimly lit so unfortunately my pictures are darker than usual.

It really was a great night meeting some of these ladies I interact with on a daily basis. They all have amazing style, are sweet and up lifting.

The last blogger babe I met is Tammy. Her Instagram handle is houseofleoblog. She is from New Jersey as well! I love her fashion style and she’s so sweet too.

My friend and I hung out for a little while longer before we headed out to eat and then home.

This night was a great experience and I really enjoyed myself. I was honored to be invited and grateful to meet such wonderful ladies. Thank you to Sakura for creating this beautiful jewelry line and it was a pleasure meeting you. I wish you all the best.

Here is a link to her website Midori Linea. Take a look at her beautiful handmade jewelry.

New year, new journeys

Hi there,

First off, I would like to thank you for being part of this blogging journey with me. I started blogging at the end of May of 2017. The reason I started blogging because I was inspired by the following women @LivinginYellow (Erin) and @JolynneShane that I follow on Pinterest. I thought to myself that it looks like fun and really wanted to try it. I thought about trying it a year before I started. Then one day I just said I’m going to do it. Life is to short not to try it!

I had no idea what I was doing and where to start. I did a LOT of reading on how to start a blog. Next I chose my niche of fashion/style and I was on my way. Then I created this blog on WordPress, next was social media… Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook! Connecting with other bloggers is great for support and guidance.

I’m so happy and honored to have partnered with Stitch Fix, Jane, Rose gal and Shop Style Collective. This past year has been a learning curve for me. I’m still trying to figure out some days what works and doesn’t.

What I am looking forward to this year is growing more, collaborating with more companies and people. I hope you enjoy the fashion styles I share with you.

Below are some of my favorite styles from 2017 on Instagram. Happy New Year to you and your family!
