Stitch Fix review April 2018

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.

Hi there,

Happy April! It is spring right?! Well it surely doesn’t feel like it here in the North East. One day it’s nice and 60 degrees, the next day we got 6 inches of snow! You’ll see it in my pictures I took for my latest fix.

I received my 51st box this month! I have been participating with Stitch Fix for over four years. I really have accumulated some great pieces over the years. My stylist Anna sent me another great box. We will get into that shortly. I’ll show you each item and let you know what I thought of them. I’ll also let you know what I decided to keep.

I want to let you know what Stitch Fix is, if you didn’t know already. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription mail order for clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories. You get 5 items in each box. You set up your personal profile and customize it to your liking. It’s like Christmas in a box every month!! I can’t wait for that brown box to arrive with the Stitch Fix tape on it. I get an email that it shipped out and I track it when it should arrive. Usually in 3 days or less.

Once it arrives, I open the box and get a price sheet with the description of each item. I also get a card which shows each item I received, how to wear it and a personal note from my stylist.

Listed below is the style card I received for this fix. Now let’s get into what I received.

Wisp- Tressa ponte dress $74

This floral dress is so pretty and comfortable. I felt like I should be on an island wearing it. It totally got me in the mood for warmer weather. I even dug out my sandals for this picture.

It was a little to snug on me so I decided to send it back. The beauty about Stitch Fix is that if you really like an item you can ask for a larger size. If they have it in stock, they will send it to you.

Market & Spruce – Vassar lace up detail hooded knit top $64

I took this next picture the day after the dress picture. Check out all the snow!

I just love this top and color. I usually don’t like hoodies but I don’t even know it’s there. The lace up sleeves are a cute detail. I paired it with my pearl jeans from my Fix last month and kicks for a casual look. You could also pair it with leggings.

You guessed right, I kept this top! How could I not? It really is comfy.

MPG – Berkeley performance legging $54

This next look is athletic wear. These leggings are stretchy and form fitting. I do like the capri style. They have a unique design on them and are really lightweight. I paired it with my own top. I just love the saying!

I decided not to keep the leggings since I already have a few pairs. If I didn’t have a few, I would of totally kept them.

41 Hawthorn – Liano mixed material top $54

Cosmic blue love – Adrianne boyfriend jean $88

I combined the top and jeans for this outfit. This pretty floral top has a cut out in the front and is a tank. It great to wear by itself or with a cardigan. These jeans are a great staple for spring and summer.

I added my pink cardigan from my Fix from February. It pulled out the color from the flowers. You could also wear this top with jeans or dress it up with pants. Unfortunately I did not keep this outfit. I have white jeans and the top was pretty but I have a similar one.

This month I decided to try the extras Stitch Fix offers. It could be camis, shape wear, socks, tights, intimates, etc… I kept 2 of these items as well! You can add them on before you get your next box.

My stylist Anna did a great job matching items to my style. I kept 1/5 items.

If you decide not to keep all the items, you can return them for free with the enclosed envelope that is prepaid. It’s so easy to do or if you decide to keep all the items, you will receive 25% off your total.

If you’re looking to give a gift that they would love, Stitch Fix offers gift cards. They are actual cards or it can be emailed to that special someone. Here is the link: Stitch Fix gift card.

Unique wood watches by Jord, a must have accessory

Hi there,

I first heard about Jord watches on Instagram. It really intrigued me, a watch made of wood, it’s so unique! They look so pretty and versatile.

I was excited to have partnered with Jord watches. When I received my watch it came in a cedar wooden box that smelled amazing! The storage box has a draw and plenty of room for all of the accessories. It included extra links, 2 cloths and finishing oil. Shown below are all the items the watch came with.

These watches come in all different styles and sizes. I chose the Frankie series watch #35. Since blue is my favorite color it was a no brainer.

Here is an up close picture of the watch I chose. We just had a snow storm prior to when I received the watch. You would think wood would be rough on your arm but it is so soft that it doesn’t hurt at all. Sometimes I forget it’s on, it’s that light! Another thing that makes this watch special is the clasp to close it. It’s so unique and easy to close it by myself. It really is a great watch, you won’t be disappointed.

Here is the link to this watch:

Frankie watch 35

This watch is made from zebrawood and has a navy face. It is splash proof but should not be submerged in water. I think the prices are reasonable for a custom made wood watch.

Here is the link to all of Jord’s unique watches: Jord watches. Take a look at the men’s and women’s watches.

They also offer a one year from date of purchase warranty.

Jord also offers engraving their unique wood watches and/or their cedar watch box making a great present for a loved one.

Jord is offering my followers a chance at winning $100 off one of their watches! Listed is the link below:

This contest will close on 4/8/2018 at 11:59pm CST. Good luck!

Hope you enjoyed this review of Jord watches, why not give them a try!

Stitch Fix review March 2018

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.

Hi there,

It’s March already but we are still getting snow here in New Jersey! Where is the warmer weather, the crocuses, green grass, open windows, wearing lighter clothes and jackets?! I know it’s coming but not soon enough.

Well my March fix is starting to get me ready for spring. I have the itch and it better come soon.

This month Stitch Fix started something new called extras. What it means is that you can add these items below to your Fix in addition to the five items you already received. I added a few items to my next fix so I will update you next month on what I thought about it.

I received my 50th box this month!

Listed below is the style card I received for this fix. Now let’s get into what I received.

Madison Lily- Cora back detail pullover $38

This red top has an adorable back criss cross detail. The material is soft and comfy. I paired this top with my jeggings and booties. This top would look great with white jeans as well. I decided not to keep it because my hair is longer in the back and you won’t see the detail much. It’s really cute though!

Adelyn Rae – Makaila cold shoulder blouse $58

I have to honest, when I first looked at this blouse out of the box I wasn’t crazy about it. Then when I put it on and took a picture I really liked it! That’s why you have to try all the items on. It may not be your style but once you try it, you could like it.

I decided not to keep it but I may ask for my stylist to send it next month. I checked out before I tried it on. What a bummer!

Chaser- Myrtie open sleeve detail pullover $58

Next up is this open sleeve pullover top. This top is really soft and lightweight. I have one similar in pink otherwise I would of kept it. I really like the olive color and design. I went for a casual look with my distressed jeans and kicks. You could totally dress up this top too!

Good Hyouman- Ravi graphic detail legging $79

These leggings are stretchy, comfy and stylish! Whether your going out and about, going to the gym or hanging home these are perfect for that. I decided not to keep them because I have a few pairs of leggings.

Driftwood- Kacey pearl embellishment scissor cut hem skinny jean $114

I have been wanting to get a pair of these jeans but never found the right fit until now. I really love the pearl detail and the skinny fit. I paired the jeans with my lace top, cardigan and booties. You can dress these jeans up or down.

My stylist Anna did a great job matching items to my style. I kept 1/5 but I may ask for the cold shoulder top next time.

If you decide not to keep all the items, you can return them for free with the enclosed envelope that is prepaid. It’s so easy to do or if you decide to keep all the items, you will receive 25% off your total.

Midori Linea – New York fashion week event

Hi there,

I was so excited when I got invited to my first New York fashion week event for the Midori Linea jewelry line! This is a big deal to me. I started blogging in May 2017. It really has been taking off and I’m so happy that all my hard work is paying off.

This event was held at the W hotel in downtown Manhattan. My first thought was what to wear and then who to invite. I decided to wear a black lace dress because it was a big event and it was a fun night out. I invited a great friend because she is the one friend who has supported me from the start.

This event was on a Friday night. I worked during the day then we headed into the city. It was on the 5th floor of the W hotel. The room we were in was really cool. Here is a picture of the living room bar area and it had panoramic views of the city.

When we got there I met my first blogger babe Ashley. Her Instagram handle is AshleyJennany. She is super sweet and has great fashion style.

After chatting with Ashley my friend and I got magical galaxy makeovers. The makeup artists added some shimmer and shine to our faces. Magical galaxy was the theme for the event.

Since we were the first 30 people to arrive we got a gift. It is the Montana Cecelia bracelet. The gem is such a pretty color.

Next we met Sakura who is the designer of this jewelry line. She was really nice and explained to us how she got started and then showed us some of her beautiful pieces. All her jewelry is handmade.

I had my eye on this Anya choker. It looked so pretty on and it is lightweight.

I then met another blogger babe Nicole. Her Instagram handle is stayathomestylist. We are both from New Jersey! She also has great style and is so sweet. We chatted for a bit.

The room was dimly lit so unfortunately my pictures are darker than usual.

It really was a great night meeting some of these ladies I interact with on a daily basis. They all have amazing style, are sweet and up lifting.

The last blogger babe I met is Tammy. Her Instagram handle is houseofleoblog. She is from New Jersey as well! I love her fashion style and she’s so sweet too.

My friend and I hung out for a little while longer before we headed out to eat and then home.

This night was a great experience and I really enjoyed myself. I was honored to be invited and grateful to meet such wonderful ladies. Thank you to Sakura for creating this beautiful jewelry line and it was a pleasure meeting you. I wish you all the best.

Here is a link to her website Midori Linea. Take a look at her beautiful handmade jewelry.

Stitch Fix review February 2018

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.

Hi there,

I can’t believe it’s February already! It’s the month to celebrate the ones you love. I do try to show them all year-long as well. It’s fun to give my Husband and the kids cute presents and cards. I also enjoy decorating for the holiday and the color palette!

I received my #49th box for this month! My stylist Anna sent me some great pieces. I’ll show you each item and let you know what I thought of them. I’ll also let you know what I decided to keep.

For those who do not know what Stitch Fix is, it is a monthly subscription mail order for clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories.

Andrew Marc performance- Quarry cut out detail knit top $44

Warp & Weft- Jaicee distressed frayed hem skinny jeans $98

This first outfit I paired the two items I received in this box. This top is so comfy and lightweight. It has a cutout by the neckline. You can see it in the next picture. The jeans are really soft, stretchy and stylish too. I added a pop of color with my burgundy booties.

I decided to keep the Love top by Andrew Marc. It so festive for Valentine’s Day and all year-long.

I returned the jeans. I have a similar pair but these are really cute. I liked the cut outs and frayed hem.

It was lightly snowing when I took this shot! I tried not to look cold! 🤣

Here I changed it up with red pants and slip on sneakers for a more casual look.

Market & Spruce- Camren bow-back knit top $54

I paired this polka dot top with a pair of black straight leg pants I received on a previous fix and riding boots. On the back of this top is a bow. You could dress this top up or down. I added my pink cross body bag and pink tassel earrings.

I did return it because I have a blue top with polka dots. It is comfy and I do like the 3/4 sleeves.

Good Hyouman- Brooke printed ruched detail legging $68

These leggings are great for lounging around or running out and about. The ruched part at the ankle are stylish. I paired these leggings with my top. I am a Jersey girl through and through! I added my blinged slip on sneakers for a dressier touch. You could wear these to work out too!

I may return them because they are slightly to short for me. I had to keep pulling them down. I am about 5’8. I do have the option to order a larger size from Stitch Fix. That’s a great perk!

I couldn’t believe it was almost 50 degrees today! It was warm enough to take this picture without freezing!

Fate- Spears side ruffle pullover sweater $54

This last piece I received is so cute on! I’m all about the ruffles. This top is adorable! I kept this look casual but you could dress this up with dressy pants or a skirt and some heels.

I wish I didn’t own one similar otherwise I would have kept it!

My stylist Anna did a great job matching items to my style. I kept 1/5 but I may get a larger size leggings for the length.

The Loft winter sale items

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission

Hi there,

I don’t know about you but I love a good sale. The Loft usually has a 40% off sale but this weekend it’s 50% off and they had a bonus sale of $10 and under! I’m going shopping, who’s with me?? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m going to show you some of my winter favorites that I either brought or tried on at the Loft. I will attach the links if your interested in browsing or buying them. O.k. let’s get started!!!!

This mixed stripe sweater comes in blue and sunflower yellow. I couldn’t decide between the two but I did get the blue since it’s my favorite color. I paired it with jeans and boots but you could wear it with dress pants to wear to work or out and about! This top is soft and comfortable.

Sweater link

This next top is a pearlized bell sleeve shirt. I love the look of pearls, it makes the top look delicate and feminine. The bell sleeves are a great touch. This is another top you could wear with jeans, dress pants or even a skirt. I also linked the dark denim leggings I wore.

Pearlized top link

Jeans link

I just love this pattern on this next sweater. This is a cute winter sweater. It is so warm and cozy! It’s not a tight turtleneck. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the feeling when they are tight around my neck. It has side slits on the cuff. I wore these with dark grey jeggings.

Turtleneck sweater

Leggings grey

Here comes another blue favorite of mine!! This cable sweater is so pretty and comfy.  I just love it! It’s a mock turtleneck so again it’s not tight around your neck. It also comes in whisper white. I have worn this top to work with dress pants and here seen with jeans.

Stitchy cable sweater link

This is another type of pearlized mixed media tops. It has a slight touch of the pearls on the sleeves. This comes in a navy blue color. I really like how lightweight this top is. It would be great for spring or summer too! I tried it on with the leggings but you could totally wear it out or to work.

Pearlized mixed media top link

I didn’t try this one on but I have been eyeing it up for Valentines Day.  How cute is this sweater!

Here’s one more sweater for Valentines Day!!

Hope you enjoyed the clothing I shared with you! Please let me know what your favorites are.

Stitch Fix review January 2018

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.

Hi there,

Let me start off with saying Happy New Year!! I hope you have a happy and healthy New Year. Mine started great because I spent it with friends and family. Also to my surprise my Stitch Fix box #48 came a few days early. What a treat for me! I was so happy when I saw this box on my steps. I’m like a kid at Christmas time.

I have great news for this month, Stitch Fix is waiving their styling fee of $20. I have the special link attached for you here: Waived fee.

For those who do not know what Stitch Fix is, it is a monthly subscription mail order for clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories.

Here is my recent styling card. My stylist Anna chose great pieces for me. I love the color palette she picked.

Now that you have an idea of what Stitch Fix is, let’s get into what I received.

Lemon Tart – Kaine velvet lace up pullover $68

This pullover is adorable. I really like the detail of the velvet lace criss-cross in the front. It gives it a delicate touch. I paired it with a pair of Kut From The Kloth jeans I received a while back. This top could be worn dressed up or down.

Tahari- Charles suede bootie $109

First of all I just love the olive-green color of these booties. It’s very different from all the other booties you see out there. It has a two-inch heel so it’s not to high and it’s comfy to wear. The back has an adorable bow detail.

Driftwood- Britt embroidered cuff scissor cut hem straight leg jean $98

RD Style- Kylin chenille cardigan $68.

I paired the jeans, cardigan and boots together for this picture. This soft and cozy pink chenille cardigan is amazing! I can’t tell you how many times I wore it already and it felt so comfortable.

The Driftwood jeans are really stretchy and soft. The embroidered cuff has a pretty floral detail. You really have so many options when pairing these jeans with a top.

Olive & Oak- Orchid velour hooded pullover $58

This velour pullover is so soft and it comes with a hood. This top can be worn with a pair with leggings, jeans or dress pants. I went for a casual look with my Kut From The Kloth jeans.

My stylist this month Anna, did a great job pairing these items to my style. I received pretty tops, jeans and booties. I decided to keep 1/5 items. I have to watch my budget this month especially after the holidays! I wish I could of kept it all.

If you decide not to keep all the items, you can return them for free with the enclosed envelope that is prepaid. It’s so easy to do or if you decide to keep all the items, you will receive 25% off your total.

Just to remind you, Stitch Fix is waiving their fee of $20 this month with my special link:  Waived fee. Why not try it, you won’t regret it and it’s risk free!

If you’re looking to give a gift that they would love, Stitch Fix offers gift cards. They are actual cards or it can be emailed to that special someone. Here is the link: Stitch Fix gift card.

Ruffles and more

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you use my affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.

Hi there,

Well here in New Jersey we are in the middle of a bomb cyclone! I never heard of this term something new to me! It is a snow storm with a lot of wind. So needless to say I’m staying warm inside and taking the pictures in here. I hope where ever you live it is warmer than here.

I’m loving ruffle tops these days. The ruffles could be on the shoulder, arm, across the front or back of the top. It gives the sweater or top a feminine detail.

I paired this sweater with a black pair of leggings and black riding boots since it’s so cold out! You could also pair this with jeans for a more casual look.  The purse I’m wearing is a Christmas present from Santa!

Here is a closer look. This bracelet I have on is a wrap bracelet that attaches by magnet. It’s very easy to get on by myself.
